"It Is Better To Give Then To Receive"

Hi, my name is Linda and I am a breast cancer survivor. I have been clear for 2 years.

I am writing this blog because I am asking those who have been affected by a serious illness
to answer 2 questions for me. They are listed below.

Right now I want to tell you that for 2 years I have wanted to come up with a way to give back because so many people helped me when I was going through treatment. I found my way. I have developed a prototype product that I will share with you in the near future.

So many family members and friends want to give when they know someone is ill. But if the patient doesn't know what they need, how can someone help. On the other side, if a patient doesn't know what they need they can't receive.

2 Questions

1. What would you have asked for when you were ill that you didn't receive?
(ex. visitors, meals, outing, etc...)

When I was going through treatment I thought I could do it all myself. Thanks to some wonderful friends and family, they took it upon themselves to give me what they thought I needed. I will always be grateful to them. I couldn't ask.

2.What would you like to give to someone who is ill?
(ex. a walk around the block, grocery shopping etc.)

The reason for these questions is so that we all can make sure we give and receive the love and kindness of others when we are ill.

Want to continue this blog. If you have any other related issues you would like me to cover let me know.

Thanks - Linda
